‘Winnet’
is an independent artist, singer and songwriter.
Winnet
was the nickname given to her during the ten years she spent working with the London City Ballet as a principal/soloist.
Winnet
has always written her haunting thoughts at various stages throughout her life, and only started putting her words to music in the last few years. Her needs to bring these ideas to life stimulated her search for musicians. Pianist Jack Stanley was introduced to her by her son and she met guitarist, Joe Volante by chance at a party, (an impossible task as he hates parties). blues, rock and jazz'
.
Whilst bass players and drummers have come and gone along the way, Joe, Jack and Winnet have remained as the core. The three of them now writing, composing and producing all of the music. Last year they composed the soundtrack for the
Brodie Films production;
'A Hat For The Camel'
screened in central London in February 2008. Selected tracks from the 1940's-based film can be heard Here.
Winnet
has just recorded her first single
'Get Out'
featuring two other songs, 'An Idea' and 'Nicky'. She plans for the latter to be part of the soundtrack of the forthcoming
Brodie Films’
feature 'Goddess'. These three tracks were all mixed and mastered at Ithil World Studios in Italy and recorded at various studios in London including Barnroom Studios and Creekside. The video for
